Nordic Goen asbl: Uniting Nordic Walking in Luxembourg
Since 1 September 2025, Nordic Goen has expanded its mission by launching the Nordic GOen Asbl (non-profit association).
While Nordic Goen continues to provide high-quality training and education, the association serves as the central organising body dedicated to strengthening, coordinating and promoting the entire Nordic walking community in Luxembourg and beyond.
Our core mission is simple: to bring together, coordinate and unite the interests and activities related to Nordic walking in Luxembourg.
Our commitments:
The Nordic Walking Asbl works on multiple fronts to elevate the sport, focusing on community, quality, and opportunity.
1. Promotion & advocacy
We actively promote Nordic walking to the general public and establish contacts with national authorities. We also collaborate with other sports associations and clubs to raise awareness and organise large-scale joint events.
2. Events & competitions:
We organise special events, including competitions, races and trails in Luxembourg, to provide new challenges for walkers and promote the activity to a wider audience. We also encourage and support our members to participate in Nordic Walking competitions at local, national and international levels, offering them advice and resources to help them succeed.
3. Standards & Training
The association is committed to maintaining high standards for the activity. To this end, we provide training courses for Nordic walking instructors and collaborate closely with international bodies, particularly the ONWF (Original Nordic Walking Federation), to bring the best global practices to Luxembourg.
